Traunstein / Homberg, 14.05.2025

  • A 453 kilowatt peak (kWp) photovoltaic system has been installed on the roof of the JYSK logistics center in Homberg (Efze), North Hesse, for self-supply.
  • The solar power reduces the CO₂ emissions of the site and improves the energy balance of the logistics processes.
  • Outlook: Another photovoltaic project with JYSK SE is already in the implementation phase.

Energy Partners GmbH from Traunstein has successfully implemented another project for sustainable energy supply in collaboration with JYSK SE. A photovoltaic system with a capacity of 453 kilowatt peak (kWp) has been installed on the roof of the logistics center in Homberg (Efze), North Hesse. The generated solar power is used directly on-site and contributes to the climate-friendly energy supply of the location.

Following the first project in Kammlach (Bavaria), which went into operation in March 2025, the system in Homberg is already the second project that Energy Partners has implemented with the international furniture retailer JYSK. Both companies are consistently focusing on sustainable energy supply and CO₂ reduction in logistics operations.

"With this project, we are strengthening the energy independence of the Homberg site and supporting JYSK in implementing its sustainability strategy. The system is optimally designed for self-consumption and delivers clean energy exactly where it is needed," explains Matthias Giller, Managing Director of Energy Partners GmbH.

JYSK is also pleased with the successful completion of the second project: "After the successful launch of our partnership in Kammlach, we are excited to take another step towards climate-friendly logistics in Homberg. Energy Partners is a reliable partner for us when it comes to implementing our ambitious sustainability goals," says Daniel Schöniger, Logistics Director at JYSK SE.

Another project with JYSK is currently under implementation. The goal is to further increase energy efficiency at the sites through targeted measures, such as photovoltaic solutions, and to contribute to the sustainable development of the logistics locations.
