faq
Yes, photovoltaics is cheaper than energy from the public grid because there are no grid fees or energy taxes. Therefore, it is worth consuming as much of the energy generated from the solar system as possible. Self-consumption can be further increased with a storage system, as surpluses can be stored temporarily, and the solar power generated is also available when the sun is not shining.
Solar energy is a renewable energy source based on unlimited solar energy. Utilising this form of energy makes a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Companies and property owners can implement the model of decentralised energy generation with solar systems on their roofs and buildings, making their company sustainable and ESG-compliant. This helps companies reduce their carbon footprint, achieve their climate targets faster and contribute to the transition to cleaner energy.
The solution is suitable for companies, freight forwarders, logistics companies, SMEs with commercial and industrial roof systems, agricultural businesses, property operators, property funds, local authorities, and all roof surface owners with a minimum of 1,500 m2. Analysing roof systems of a certain size from the outset increases profitability and enables us to offer better prices for the solar system.
A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a direct energy supply contract between two parties, typically energy producers and consumers or traders. PPAs are commonly used to purchase green electricity at a lower cost. PPAs are increasingly being used by German SMEs. All conditions related to energy volumes, purchase prices, and balance sheet processing are regulated in the PPA. PPAs are commonly used by energy-intensive companies with high energy consumption to reduce market price risks. They can offer significant cost benefits and help companies achieve their sustainability targets.
What happens if consumption exceeds the system's capacity?
Typically, solar power can cover around 60-70% of the energy demand in commercial buildings. If the demand exceeds the capacity of the photovoltaic system, the remaining energy demand is supplied through the existing grid connection. The public utility will supply the remaining energy demand.
No, there are no additional costs. Neither the tenant, consumer nor property owner will incur any costs during project implementation or operation. Energy Partners will also handle the financing of the solar installation on your roof.
