Current developments in the energy market highlight just how great the need is for discussion regarding the challenges and opportunities surrounding renewable energy. One topic that particularly concerns us is redispatch – and the very practical question of why companies still have to purchase expensive electricity from the grid despite having their own PV systems.
In reality, the situation often looks like this: a solar system on the roof is generating clean electricity, yet at the same time the system is being curtailed. The result: the self-generated solar power cannot be fully utilised, whilst the company purchases electricity from the grid. It is precisely this problem that we have highlighted on the ‘Morgenmagazin’ (#moma) programme, together with our client Frischhut GmbH & Co. KG, as well as ARD and ZDF.
After all, when self-generated solar power cannot be utilised, it is not only economic viability and investment incentives that are jeopardised, but the competitiveness of our industrial base is also at stake.
As Energy Partners, we offer practical solutions that give businesses access to affordable, clean and flexibly available electricity.
