Last week, we took part in a VIP customer event organised by our customer STERNAUTO. The event focused on sustainable mobility solutions, with our focus on charging infrastructure, battery storage and photovoltaics for eTransporter fleets without capital investment.
After introductory remarks by Torsten Schwalbe, Head of Commercial Vehicles, and Peter Heinrich, Managing Director at Sternauto, the afternoon began with a keynote speech by Christian Matthaei and Tim Bjarne Fischler from Mercedes-Benz Transporter on the strategic direction and technology of the new eTransporter platform. Their outlook on the mobility of tomorrow made it clear that electric mobility has long been part of the core strategy.
Our colleague Felix Plöchinger then provided practical insights into how e-charging infrastructure, BESS and PV solutions can be successfully integrated into transporter fleets without any investment on the part of the customer. The focus was particularly on economical operating models, grid-friendly storage solutions and the combination with PV for a sustainable energy supply directly on site.
